Scythe & Sparrow

Scythe & Sparrow

I am only rating this as highly as I did because of the intense sobbing I did. Buckets of tears. Alexa, play Loverboy by Billy Ocean.

Overall, much more romance, much less horror than the two that came before it. That’s fine but I felt like a precedent had been set for the trilogy that wasn’t met with this one.

You’re fucking kidding me. Because I wasn’t crying hard enough, THE TATTOO??????

Fionn Kane is that bitch, idc. The haunted house was peak morally gray touch her and die vibes and I had to put the book down and do a lil feet kicking because I got so excited. And the tattooooooo. I’m never recovering from that one.

Rose is a weirdo. Love her, but god. Some bits were like… so much. However, I always feel this way about the woo-woo characters. The tarot and witchcraft and my grandma is haunting me to guide my hand in non fantasy settings characters. I just can’t vibe with it and it puts me off.

Anyway, I loved their dynamic. The back and forth, the banter, the LONGING.

Barbara didn’t get as much page time as I would have liked because let’s be real I’m obsessed with her.

Brynne, this is a personal appeal. I am begging you. No more eye stuff. Please.
