Losers Part Two

Losers Part Two

I personally thought the book was too long. There was a copious amount of gratuitous boning that I didn’t feel was really necessary, but it’s erotica, so I can’t really add a black mark for my own personal preferences there. The plot felt a bit lack luster through both books and Alex could have gotten a worse fate in the end (I love what he got, though).

I’m still feral for Manson. Lucas is cool, I didn’t dislike him. My personal preference for Manson and close second preference for Lucas made Vincent and Jason fall by the wayside and I found myself trudging through their POVs and scenes with them. However, the characters were really well fleshed out and independent of each other despite the close nature of their relationships. As an author, it’s easy to make your close knit characters almost identical in personality, but each of these boys had unique personality traits that kept them distinct.

I feel like more could have been done for the plot with Alex/Nate and Reagan. It felt like this was just erotica for the sake of being erotic and then oh yeah, we need to have something driving the story now that they’ve all said “I love you” to each other. While I was hoping for more while reading, I wasn’t so disappointed it made me hate the book. It was well written and though not my personal preference, it was still good.
